TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE
1- Introduction: Welcome to The Platter Box. This Site is owned and operated by The Platter Box. By accessing or using this Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada.
2- Orders and Payments:
Pricing: All prices are in CAD and are subject to HST where applicable.
Payment: We accept Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, and debit cads. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your date unless otherwise provided.
Internet Agreement: In accordance with Ontario’s Consumer Protection Act, a full itemized receipt will be provided upon checkout.
3- Food Safety and Liability:
Perishability: Our products are perishable. All grazing boards must be kept refrigerated at or below 4 degrees Celsius until consumption. The Platter Box is not liable for illness or injury resulting from food consumed with improper storage.
Allergies: Our facility handles nuts, gluten, dairy, and other allergens. While we offer "allergy-friendly" options, we cannot guarantee zero cross-contamination. Consumption is at the customer's own risk.
4- Cancellations and Refunds:
We understand plans change! However, because we prep and pre-order fresh ingredients for your event, the following policy applies:
30 Days Out: If you cancel within 30 days, we retain 25% of your deposit plus any costs already spent on labor or special rentals.
14 Days Out: If you cancel within 14 days, the full 50% deposit is non-refundable, and we’ll bill for any additional expenses incurred.
7 Days Out: Cancellations made within 1 week of the event are not eligible for a refund or credit.
5- Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Ontario law, The Platter Box shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.
